Ken Smith

Ken Smith is a fine art photographer who focuses on the beauty of nature on a macro and micro level. He believes in making a photograph … not just taking a photograph. Using the camera and the creative process of making a photograph is a craft that is a continuing learning process. Also, for him the image should have soul, and should evoke some sense of emotion from the viewer.

 

For the past 6 years he has traveled extensively in the United States, discovering the unique beauty of the country … from the red rocks of the Sedona to the majestic mountains of the Olympic National Park, from the dramatic coast of the Pacific to the Atlantic Ocean.

 

Ken is based in Galveston, Texas where he spends his winters. He spends his summers on the rugged Maine coast. He is a member of the Texas Photographic Society, the Galveston Island Nature Tourism Council, and the Houston Audubon Society.
